ASMP-ONC Members Annual Meeting / Pints & Pixels

Please join us for our ASMP/ONC Annual Meeting at the studio of fellow photographers Eric Hanson, Gary Yasaki and Tony Gray, on Tuesday, March 11th.

We will have a brief chapter meeting, followed by our always popular “Pints & Pixels”. For this years Pints & Pixels, we would love to see some your commercial work, self-assigned projects or a series of your fine art work. You may submit up to ten images of your work to be projected. You will also have time to briefly discuss your work, if you choose. Students & Assistants… this is a great opportunity to show us some of your projects and work!

Image requirements:
Size horizontal images to be 1024 pixels wide
Size vertical images to be 768 pixels high
#10 quality jpeg

Deadline to submit images will be Monday, March 10th (6pm).
IMAGES MUST BE SUBMITTED PRIOR TO THE EVENT!!!
Images brought to the event will not be accepted. Access to the internet to view websites or viewing galleries will not be permitted.

The program will address the application of basic tools of project management to digital media projects. Many social and digital freelancers run their business by the seat of their pants. The introduction to these methods, and automated tools, will give digital publishers an view of an organized way to responding to client needs and tools to deliver products and services on time and within budget. Examples of techniques include;

* Create a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS),
* Develop a schedule,
* Prepare a cost estimate,
* Status your progress towards completion, and
* Access free online project management tools.

There will be a brief Q&A session after the main presentation. Slides and links to tools will be available on the CDPUG blog.http://blog.cdpug.org
