You’ve seen them online, in stores and in studios –graphics tablets or digitizers. They stood for the modern digital artist before the age of iPads and Touchscreen PC’s. The most familiar types of digital drawing tablets are ones made by Wacom that feature a pen or stylus that functions very much like a traditional drawing implement. Others are hybrid devices that have an embedded LCD screen, allowing you to draw directly on them. Depending on the model, these feature various levels of pressure sensitivity and programmable buttons to allow the artist in you to express your creativity. With it, the powerful digital drawing tablet can be anything you want: a paint brush, a ballpoint pen, a marker, even a spray can.

This meeting will introduce you to graphics tablets technology, the software that is used with it and how to get the most out of your digital drawing tablet, through demos, examples and actual user experiences. If you have a digital drawing tablet gathering dust at your desk or have considered purchasing one, this meeting is for you.
